My Natural Hair Journey

Hey Guys! I decided to do a blog discussing my natural hair journey. But, before I start telling you about my hair journey I will say I am a beginner when trying natural hair. Yes! I have finally given up on  relaxed hair and long Brazilian hair extensions. My first step to having natural hair was doing the big chop and installing box braids. When installing my box braids I kept them in for four month to help the growth of my hair. However, my hair became brittle once I stop moisturizing  my hair while wearing the  box braids. When I  re-installed my box braids for the second time I  kept my hair  moisturized while using  "As I am" products which became helpful . After getting bored with wearing the box braids, I went on You Tube to research  natural hairstyles and came across the havana twist. The havana twist has became one of my favorite protective hair  styles for the summer. I  do recommend embracing YOUR natural hair because it is easier, in expressive and fun!
